Family Christmas

We love our family. We love our big family. And having a big family means celebrating Christmas in a lot of places with a lot of people. This past weekend we did two Christmases. Saturday was a Richard's family Christmas potluck at Jeff's Uncle and Aunt's home in Albany. This is an annual tradition for the weekend before Christmas - and we always enjoy catching up with relatives we see once, maybe twice, a year. It's also a challenge to remember the names of all Jeff's cousins, and their spouses, and their children. . . we all agree that we either need to wear name tags, or someone needs to start a family facebook page where we can all submit pictures and study up on names and faces before the next event!!

Then Sunday was the smaller Roth family Christmas. By "smaller" I mean, less than the 40 on Saturday, but still more than 25 people. This is Jeff's brothers and sister and all the grandkids, a few spouses, a couple guests, and a dog. We had such a great time!! We laugh so much together, and love each other. . . It's such a HUGE blessing to be a part of a family that gets along. No drama, no bitterness or petty resentments, just love, laughter, life and joy. This is a great family I married into - with great people, and a deep and sincere love for the Lord. Can you tell that I love it when we all get together?! :)

Here are a few snapshots of the day - just to give you a picture of one of the reasons it's so great - the super influence for my kids!!

We all happened to sit together, so I handed the camera to my brother-in-law and got a decent family Christmas snapshot.

My niece-in-law Kali (the one who does the super blog layouts for a very reasonable price) lovin' on Abby girl.

Nephew Andrew - lovin' on Abby girl.

Niece-in-law Melissa, (Andrew's wife) lovin' on Abby girl.

Nephew Toby - with whom Abby is completely enamored - givin' her some love by letting her hang out wherever he is!!!
