Magical day

Worship first thing this morning - enjoying the presence of God, the good teaching, and the fellowship at Salem Alliance. (by myself, kids still at home with Jeff)

Sunny morning with the kids. Game of "Bump" with Josiah that doubles as aerobic exercise for me! Sitting with all three on the front porch, soaking in the sun and laughing together.

Lunch as a family. Degenerates to all three children in their "speedoo's" (underwear, which they don't call speedo, but rather, speedoo) running around the room with fly swatters singing, "Spank my bottom steppin' time, spank my bottom steppin' time, never need a reason, never need a rhyme, spank my bottom steppin' time." (See Mary Poppins if you don't recognize the song) Laughing so hard I can hardly stand it.

Family reading time. All of us in the living room, cozy on couch and new chair, reading. Good book.

Afternoon sun. More bump with Josiah, I worked up a sweat. More good book in the sunshine. More laughter with my kids. Staying out until the back yard was all shade.

Days like these feed the soul!
