Week 2 - Worship

Well, I'm not great with the "quote for the day" - I should change that to, "quote when I get around to changing it." Never the less, here are this weeks thoughts on worship.

Verse:

1 Chronicles 16:28-31

"Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations,
  ascribe to the LORD glory and strength,
  ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name.
Bring an offering and come before him;
  worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
Tremble before him, all the earth!
  The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
  let them say among the nations. 'The LORD reigns!' "

Quotes:

"God is higher than anything. He is higher than anything remotely associated with this life or us. When we truly worship, we declare God's glory, and it takes the attention off ourselves, centering it where it should be." Max Lucado

Worship isn't about me at all. . . Have I ever worshiped God? Have our kids ever worshiped God? Have the kids in our churches every really worshiped God? If not, what will happen once we understand and begin truly worshiping God the way He intends?" Kathleen Chapman

"Worship is to express in some appropriate manner a humbling but delightful sense of admiring awe and astonished wonder and overpowering love in the presence of. . . our Father which art in heaven." A.W. Tozer
